Optimization and Equilibrium T w o – d a y s W o r k s h o p
On November the 29th 2013 the “One day Workshop on Optimization” took place in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Concepción (UdeC). Such a meeting was part of the activities of the Project “Second order asymptotic directions in optimization theory” within of the Programa de Atracción e Inserción de Capital Humano Avanzado, Modalidad Estadía Corta 80122033, CONICYT. Professors Nicolas Hadjisavvas (University of the Aegean) and Fabián Flores-Bazán (UdeC), responsible of this project organized such an arlier workshop.
In this occasion, following the same spirit as the first version, the “Two daysWorkshop on Optimization and Equilibrium” (24th – 25th April) is organized by Professors F. Flores-Bazán and C. Thraves Caro from the Department of Mathematical Engineering (UdeC), along with Professors Alejandro Jofré and Héctor Ramirez from the Center for Mathematical Modeling (University of Chile). The main purpose of the workshop is to bring together senior and young researchers working in Mathematical Optimization including theory, methodology, algorithms and applications.
